Earlier this month, Past District Governors Ed Bolden, seen on the left, along with Glendale Rotary Past District Governor Chuck Reinhart and Santa Clarita Rotarian Connie Ragen Green, visited the Rotary Club of Beijing, China.
The three were in China as part of a trip sponsored by the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce. They managed to leave the tour for a few hours in order to attend the meeting. The two Rotary clubs in China (the other club is in Shanghai) have only been chartered since 2006. Chinese citizens are not permitted to join, so the group is comprised of those working and living in China who are citizens of other countries throughout the world, as well as visitors to China.
